This blog is for thinking and doing better in the creative profession. If what you read it’s useful, you might consider to get in touch for sharing ideas, comment, criticise or advise; what I call a creative partnership (that might develop in person or not). Most importantly, have fun, share, and come back. And spread the word. ac
Some basic info on the author:
I worked as Project Manager for the retail industry in Italy for many years, and simultaneously I co-run for three years an art gallery in Pisa (1992-1994). Then I decided to shift my main focus into this sector, and in 2000 I went on studying while working free-lance. I received an MA from the University of the Arts in Berlin (Germany) and participated in the Critical Studies Programme at the Lund University-Malmö Art Academy (Sweden). I was Fellow in Art Theory and Criticism at the Kunstlerhaus Buchsenhausen in Innsbruck (Austria), and currently I work as Exhibitions Officer in QUAD, Derby (UK). I produce artworks (like Faulty Lines – a little book of (un)learning), curate exhibitions (see below AGM and QUAD links), and write. Forthcoming in July 2009 a book on ‘Aesthetic Journalism‘ by Intellect Books (UK).
And here’s how to contact me (besides this blog):
My personal website-project archive is wwww.alcramer.net, where you can find links to other projects and initiatives like AGM Annual General Meeting); you can also visit www.derbyquad.co.uk, the web site of QUAD: the arts, media and film institution in Derby (UK), where I work.
My e-mail: alcramer@gmail.com
My telephone: +44 (0)7941 470145 or video/text/audio chat with Skype and MSN (username: alcramer, for both).
I’d consider a mutual favour if you subscribe to the RSS feed of this blog (menu on the top right corner under ‘blog info’). You get the latest of my writings, and I’d get to find you when I’ve got something neat and nice to share. (Thanks Seth for the inspiration.)
